How I Achieve Radiant Skin with St. Ives
I've been a fan of St. Ives ever since I first stumbled upon the Apricot Facial Scrub when I was a teenager rummaging through my mom's bathroom looking for something to wash my face with, because I was sleeping over for the weekend and had forgotten to bring my own facial wash. I found my mom's tube of St. Ives Apricot Scrub sitting by her sink and didn't even think twice and washed my face with it, and that's how I fell in love with St. Ives. Over the years I've experimented between different skincare products, but the one that's been constant or I've always returned to was St. Ives. I've recommended St.Ives to family and friends, but now I've had the chance to share all about it with you guys too!
My favorite thing about St. Ives is that it's made with 100% natural moisturizers and 100% natural exfoliants, which means it's a great product to use if you want to be more eco-friendly (and you should!). My second favorite thing about St.Ives is the luxurious feel I get using their products and yet they're more affordable than most natural brands out there.
These are the current St. Ives products I've been using the past month, and my top choices too:
Sea Salt & Pacific Kelp Exfoliating Body Wash
When I was younger, I used to love giving myself sand exfoliating massages at the beach. I know, it's a bit weird but I always do this in the water. Clearly it wasn't the most gentle way to exfoliate my body, but I did it anyway. I was young and stupid. I eventually stopped as I grew older and read more about skincare.
The St. Ives exfoliating body wash reminds me of those days in the beach, only this time I can exfoliate my body without actually damaging my skin. The sea salt and kelp extracts are gentle enough to exfoliate my skin every day.
Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Lotion
After every shower, I like to lather my entire body with the St.Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter body lotion. While the body scrub is gentle and helps reveal radiant glowing skin, I like to follow it up with body lotion to help restore lost moisture from my skin after a hot or cold shower.
The St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter body lotion contains natural moisturizers which are plant based glycerin and soybean oil, and infused with wholesome oats and sweet smelling shea butter. I love that it also smells so good and lasts as a mild and subtle "perfume" the whole day, keeping me feeling fresh and clean.
Apricot Facial Scrub
My holy grail facial skincare product and the only one that's been consistent in my life for around 8-9 years.
This delicious smelling apricot scrub deeply cleanses the skin and helps prevent breakouts even before they occur. The best part is it's also made with 100% natural exfoliants (such as crushed walnut shell) for a gentle and deep cleanse.
I've suffered with dry skin all my life and so the apricot scrub helps slough off dead cells and flaky skin, revealing smoother, healthier and glowing skin.
Collagen Elastin Moisturizer
After I've exfoliated my face with the apricot scrub, I never fail to follow up with the collagen elastin moisturizer. Because I have dry skin, I always need to follow up my skincare routine with something to hydrate my thirsty skin.
The Collagen Elastin is made with 100% natural moisturizers such as soy bean oil and plant based glycerin, so you can be sure that only natural good products and not harmful chemicals touch your face.
I especially love to use this moisturizer at night before I go to sleep.
Being 26 and genetically blessed with Asian skin doesn't necessarily mean I can just go easy on my skincare. It's something I take seriously because our skin is the largest organ in our body (in case you had no idea, now you do!), it's important to care for it because it's the outer layers of our "home".
St. Ives has helped me keep my skin in top shape, looking beautiful and radiant... And I know this because I'm always getting compliments about how healthy and glowing my skin looks, be it from my fiancé or from you guys!
If you're looking for new products to try, or products that believe in healthier and eco-friendly alternatives, then St.Ives is definitely worth checking out. I swear by it.
